Privacy Policy
Effective Date: May 30, 2026
Daily Book (“we”, “our”, or “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how the Daily Book mobile application handles information when you use the app.
Daily Book is a daily hisab, card book, customer record, service entry, payment tracking, and report management app. The app is designed to work mostly offline, and your main business or personal records are stored on your own device unless you choose to use backup features.
Important: Daily Book does not store your daily card book records on our own server by default. Your customers, cards, entries, payment records, reports, and other app data are mainly stored locally on your device. You are responsible for keeping your own backup of important data.
1. Information We Collect
Daily Book may collect or access the following types of information depending on the features you use.
1.1 Local App Data
The app stores your daily records locally on your device. This may include:
- Customer names and phone numbers
- Service cards such as milk, tiffin, water, tea, newspaper, laundry, or custom cards
- Daily entries, quantities, rates, and amounts
- Payment records and pending balances
- Notes added by you
- Reports and export preferences
- App settings and preferences
This data is stored on your device and is not uploaded to our own server by default.
1.2 Contacts Permission
If you choose to add customers from your phone contacts, the app may request access to your contacts. This is used only to help you quickly add customer details into the app.
We do not upload, sell, or share your contact list with our own server. Contact information selected by you may be saved locally in the app as customer information.
1.3 Backup Data
Daily Book may provide an optional backup feature. If you choose to enable backup, your app data may be backed up to the backup service or cloud account selected by you.
Backup is optional and controlled by you. If you do not enable backup, your app data remains stored locally on your device.
If you enable backup, your data may be processed or stored by the selected cloud or backup provider according to their own privacy policy and terms.
1.4 Google Sign-In
If the app offers Google Sign-In or account connection for backup or restore features, we may receive basic account information such as your name, email address, and profile identifier from Google. This is used only to identify your account for related app features such as backup or restore.
1.5 Analytics Data
We use Firebase Analytics to understand general app usage and improve app performance and user experience.
Analytics data may include information such as:
- App screens visited
- Feature usage
- Device type and operating system version
- App version
- General usage events
- Approximate region or country
Firebase Analytics does not give us direct access to your personal daily hisab records, customer records, card entries, or payment details.
1.6 Crash and Error Data
We may use Firebase Crashlytics and/or Sentry to detect crashes, errors, and performance issues in the app.
Crash and error reports may include:
- Device model
- Operating system version
- App version
- Error logs and crash details
- Technical diagnostic information
This information helps us fix bugs and improve app stability. We do not intentionally collect your customer data, card entries, or payment records through crash reports.
2. How We Use Information
We use information only for the following purposes:
- To provide app features such as card book, daily entries, customer management, payments, reports, and PDF export
- To store your data locally on your device
- To allow optional backup and restore if you enable backup
- To improve app performance, usability, and reliability
- To understand general app usage through analytics
- To fix crashes, errors, and technical issues
- To respond to your support requests
3. Offline Data Storage
Daily Book is designed as an offline-first app. Your main app data is stored on your device. This includes customer records, card records, daily entries, payments, balances, and notes.
Because the data is stored locally, we may not be able to recover your data if:
- You uninstall the app
- You clear app data
- Your device is lost, damaged, reset, or replaced
- Your local database becomes corrupted
- You do not enable or maintain a backup
User Responsibility: You are responsible for taking regular backups of your important records. We are not responsible for data loss caused by uninstalling the app, device failure, accidental deletion, lack of backup, or any action outside our control.
4. Backup and Restore
If you choose to use the backup feature, your data may be uploaded to a cloud storage or backup service selected or connected by you.
Backup may include your app database or app records such as customers, cards, entries, payment records, notes, and settings.
You are responsible for:
- Enabling backup if you need it
- Keeping your cloud account secure
- Checking that backups are completed successfully
- Restoring data carefully when changing devices
- Understanding that deleting cloud backup files may permanently remove backup data
We do not guarantee that backup or restore will always be successful, especially if there are network issues, cloud account issues, storage restrictions, permission issues, or third-party service issues.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data.
We do not share your daily card book records, customer data, entries, or payments with third parties for marketing purposes.
Limited technical data may be processed by third-party service providers used in the app, such as:
- Firebase Analytics for app usage analytics
- Firebase Crashlytics for crash reporting
- Google services for sign-in, backup, or app functionality if enabled
- Cloud storage providers if you choose to use backup features
These services process data according to their own privacy policies and terms.
6. Third-Party Services
Daily Book may use third-party services, including but not limited to:
- Google Firebase
- Firebase Analytics
- Firebase Crashlytics
- Cloud storage or backup services if enabled by the user
These services may collect technical, diagnostic, analytics, or account-related data as required to provide their functionality.
7. Permissions Used by the App
Daily Book may request certain permissions depending on the features you use:
- Contacts: To help you quickly add customers from your phone contacts.
- Notifications: To send reminders or app alerts if enabled by you.
- Storage or Cloud Access: To support backup, restore, import, export, or PDF sharing features where applicable.
- Internet: To support analytics, crash reporting, backup, restore, sign-in, updates, or other online features.
You can control app permissions from your device settings.
8. PDF Export and Sharing
Daily Book may allow you to generate and share reports as PDF or text. These reports may contain your customer details, card entries, quantities, rates, amounts, payments, balances, and notes.
You are responsible for reviewing the report before sharing it with others. Once you share a report through another app, such as messaging, email, or cloud storage, the handling of that shared file is controlled by the receiving app or service.
9. Data Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the app and improve data safety. However, no app, device, storage system, or internet-based service can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
You should protect your device with a secure screen lock and keep your Google/cloud account secure if you use backup features.
10. Data Retention
Data stored locally in the app remains on your device until you delete it, clear app data, uninstall the app, or reset your device.
If backup is enabled, backup data may remain in your cloud account until you delete it from that service.
Analytics and crash reporting data may be retained by Firebase, Sentry, or other service providers according to their own retention policies.
11. Children’s Privacy
Daily Book is intended for general users, vendors, customers, and small businesses. It is not specifically designed for children under the age of 13.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe that a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us.
12. Your Choices
You can:
- Use the app without enabling backup
- Enable or disable optional backup where available
- Allow or deny contact permission
- Allow or deny notification permission
- Delete records from inside the app
- Clear app data from your device settings

13. Limitation of Responsibility
Daily Book is a record-keeping tool. You are responsible for verifying the accuracy of your records, entries, payments, balances, reports, and exported files.
We are not responsible for financial loss, business loss, incorrect entries, missed payments, data loss, accidental deletion, device loss, backup failure, restore failure, or any issue caused by incorrect use of the app.
