This Privacy Policy explains how ACKPlus ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Black Gold Chess mobile app (the "App"). By using the App you agree to this policy.

1. Who this app is for
Black Gold Chess is intended for a general audience (13+). It is not directed at children under 13 (or under the applicable age of digital consent in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
2. Information we collect
You can play as a Guest without an account. In Guest mode your games, settings, and history are stored only on your device and are not sent to our servers.
When you sign in (optional) or use online features, we collect:
- Account information — when you sign in with Google or Apple: your display name, email address, profile photo URL, and a unique user ID. (With Sign in with Apple you may choose to hide your email.)
- Profile & gameplay data — display name, avatar, chess ratings, online game history, friends list, challenges, and notifications.
- Live game data — moves, clocks, and online/offline presence while you play an online match.
- Device & diagnostic data — app version, device model, operating system, language, and crash/error logs, used to keep the App stable.
- Advertising data — limited device information and ad-interaction data used to serve and measure ads (see §4).
We do not collect your precise location, contacts, photos, or payment card details. The App does not sell physical or digital goods.
3. How we use information
- Provide and operate the App (matchmaking, online play, friends, challenges).
- Maintain your profile, ratings, and game history across devices.
- Diagnose crashes and improve performance and features.
- Serve and measure advertising that helps keep the App free.
- Prevent fraud, abuse, and policy violations.
4. Advertising
The App shows rewarded ads (you choose to watch an ad in exchange for an in-game benefit such as a hint or undo). Ads are provided by Google AdMob and, through AdMob mediation, by Unity Ads. These partners may process device identifiers and ad-interaction data to deliver and measure ads.
- We currently request non-personalized ads where applicable.
- Ad partners act as independent controllers/processors of the data they collect. See Google's privacy policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy) and Unity's privacy policy (https://unity.com/legal/game-player-and-app-user-privacy-policy).
Your choices in the EEA, UK & Switzerland
Where required, we use Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to ask for your consent before ads are served, in line with Google's EU User Consent Policy and the IAB Transparency & Consent Framework. You can change your choice any time in Settings → Privacy → Privacy options.
Your choices in the United States (California / CPRA)
We do not "sell" personal information for money. Depending on your region you may have the right to opt out of certain ad-related data sharing; contact us at contact@ackplus.com.
5. Third-party services we use
- Google Firebase — Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Realtime Database, Analytics, and Crashlytics (app accounts, data sync, usage analytics, crash reporting). https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy
- Google AdMob + Unity Ads (advertising / mediation) — see §4.
- Google Sign-In and Sign in with Apple (authentication).
These providers process data on infrastructure that may be located outside your country. We rely on their respective safeguards for international transfers.
6. Data retention & deletion
- Guest (local) data lives only on your device and is removed when you uninstall the App or clear its data.
- Account data is kept while your account exists. You can delete your account in the App (Profile → Edit profile → Delete account), which removes your profile and associated data, or email contact@ackplus.com to request deletion.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live (e.g. EEA/UK under GDPR, California under CPRA), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact contact@ackplus.com. You may also withdraw ad consent at any time via Settings → Privacy → Privacy options.
8. Security
We use industry-standard measures (including encrypted HTTPS/TLS connections) to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to safeguard your data.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the App.
