Expense Book & Budget Manager is a clean, private personal-finance app that helps people record daily expenses and income, set budgets, and see exactly where their money goes. Everything is stored securely on the user's own device, with an optional backup to their personal Google Drive — no account or sign-up required to use the app.

Most people abandon budgeting apps because they're bloated, require creating an account, or lock data in the cloud. We set out to build a finance tracker that is instant to start, works fully offline, keeps data on the device, and still lets people safely back up and move their data between phones — without compromising their privacy.
A fast, offline-first expense and budget manager with a focus on clarity and privacy. Users can log a transaction in seconds, organize spending with categories and sub-categories, track budgets and cash flow, and generate clear visual reports — with everything stored locally and an optional, private cloud backup.
Expense Book lets each user back up and restore their data to their own Google Drive. It uses Google's private Application Data folder via the narrow drive.appdata scope — which means the app can only read and write the backup files it created. It can never see, access, or modify any of the user's other Google Drive files, photos, or documents.
A backup contains only the user's own expenses, categories, budgets, and app settings, and is used solely to restore their data on a new or reinstalled device. Users can also export a local backup file (.abk) at any time. Cloud backup is entirely optional — the app works 100% offline, and financial data is never sold or shared.
